Mother-in-Law Experts Help Millions Prepare for National Mother-in-Law Day on Oct. 24

With Mother-in-Law Day fast approaching on Oct. 24, mother-in-law experts Liz Bluper & RenPlastique are helping women everywhere prepare for this national holiday. As authors of the irreverent humor book Mothers-In-Law Do Everything Wrong: M.I.L.D.E.W. (Andrews McMeel) they are prescribing laughter for maximum holiday enjoyment.

Chicago, IL September 21, 2004 -- Mother-in-law experts Liz Bluper and RenPlastique (names have been changed to protect the guilty), authors of the recently released "Mothers-In-Law Do Everything Wrong: M.I.L.D.E.W." (Andrews McMeel, ISBN: 0-7407-4208-6, trade paperback), have sparked a revolution with their code word: MILDEW. With "M.I.L.D.E.W." now in its second printing, their playful acronym is infiltrating todays vernacular as women talk to each other about that all-too-familiar marriage by-productthe mother-in-law.

The authors are helping millions "laugh their MILDEW away" by sharing their hilarious strategies, stories and relatable experiences. While some women have wonderful mother-in-law relationships, others have challenging oneswhether due to differing styles or the generation gap. Regardless, countless women have enjoyed M.I.L.D.E.W.s laughter as therapy take on these relationships. They are discovering that when it comes to MILDEW, laughter really is the best medicine. "'M.I.L.D.E.W.' is truly therapeutic! says one reader.

With its broad appeal, "M.I.L.D.E.W." is inspiring mothers-in-law, too. By taking their scientifically calibrated quiz, more than one mother-in-law has been surprised at the results and subsequently changed her ways. Bluper and Plastique are hearing reports of reduced marital stress and improved family relations. World peace cant be far behind! quips Plastique.

Every year, Mother-in-Law Day is the 4th Sunday of October. In 1981, the House voted 305 to 66 to establish this important holiday. Mother-in-Law Day, though not a well-known holiday, is a wonderful opportunity to improve relations, says Bluper. Or to commiserate, adds Plastique. Another example of our government hard at work.

Liz Bluper and RenPlastique (a.k.a. Rachel Latto and Diane Tarshis) have been guests on radio shows across the country, with Plastique also making television appearances on Chicagos ABC News and on WGN News.

"Mothers-In-Law Do Everything Wrong: M.I.L.D.E.W." retails for $9.95 and is available at booksellers throughout the country, including Barnes & Noble, Borders and Amazon.com. To learn more visit www.mymildew.com.
